The South Knox Girls Tennis Team swept all three singles in posting a 3-2 win over Vincennes Rivet.
Recording wins for the Lady Spartans were Ella Hayes at number one singles, Abby Cunningham at number two and Madi Ziegler at number three. Rivet captured the number one doubles with Maggie Early and Lauren Carie winning in straight sets while the Lady Patriots number two doubles combination of Merideth Weiss and Kenadee Frey also scoring set set victories.
Vincennes Lincoln blanked Linton on the courts yesterday 5-0. winning in singles play for the lady alices were Payton Dugan, Savannah Purdom, and Ashllyn Hillendrand. The Lincoln doubles team of Abby West and Macey Fisher and duo of of Dalya Anderson and Mallory Friend were also victorious in three sets.
In Boys Baseball action, Northeast Dubois erupted for nine runs in the 7th inning to pull away from Vincennes Rivet 15-3. Tommy Herman had a pair of hits for the patriots.
Northest Dubois scored three runs in the seventh and went on to trim South Knox 5-4 in girls softball action. For South Knox, Mattilyn Ashley, Alley Sims, Jianna Hughes and Lily Culp all had RBI’s in the contest. The Lady Spartans fall to 10-4, 2-1 in Blue chip conference play.
Mount Vernon exploded for 10 runs in the 6th inning to roll to a 20-3 win over Vincennes Lincoln. Dani Kroeger had a pair of hits for the lady Alices.
