More Hoosiers are testing positive for COVID-19 amid a surge of the highly contagious omicron subvariant BA.5. The Indiana Department of Health reports over 10,000 Indiana residents tested positive for the virus last week. Eighteen Hoosiers died of COVID-19 in the previous week. As of Sunday, 756 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state.
