15th District Illinois Congressman John Shimkus is accepting entries for his annual district art contest. The winning displays will be displayed in a tunnel connecting the House Office Building to the Capitol.
Entry divisions include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photographs, computer-generated art, and mixed media. The works must be two-dimensional, no larger than 28 inches by 28 inches by four inches, and must be an original work.
Entries are due by May fourth; the winner will be announced on the Congressman’s Facebook page. The winning artist and submission will be flown free to Washington, D-C for a winner’s ceremony.
