The Illinois State Fire Marshal is warning about the dangers of deep fryers and smokers this thanksgiving.
Fire Marshall Matt Perez says if you’re cooking your turkey in a fryer or smoker outside, the best thing to do is make sure it’s away from the house and that you keep
an eye on it ..
Perez says pets and kids should be kept away from fryers and smokers and it’s a good idea to have a fire extinguisher close by.
And never use them in the garage or on a wooden deck.
