The director of Indiana’s department of Veterans Affairs has resigned.
Jim Brown is leaving following an investigation by the Indianapolis Star, which reported complaints accusing Brown of misappropriating funds from the Military Family
Relief Fund.
Investigators say that money should have gone to veterans that the VA helps support.
Instead, the money went to Brown’s employees. In spite of the controversy, Governor Holcomb called Brown “a good man with a distinguished service record.”
