New Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin has made a change to the hours to be worked by his road deputies. Sheriff Vantlin told the Knox County Commissioners the deputies will be on 12-hour shifts, rather than ten-hour shifts. County Jail workers will remain on their current shifts of ten hours four days a week.
Vantlin told the Commissioners the road deputies will still be working on an 80-hour schedule every 14 days. The Commissioners passed the Sheriff’s request unanimously.
