Governor J-B Pritzker signed a new law Thursday requiring gun dealers in Illinois to be licensed by the Illinois State Police.
Pritzker says the law also mandates dealers provide annual training to employees, have video surveillance in stores and be open for inspection by law enforcement.
Additionally, the law requires dealers to attach a copy of a buyer’s Firearm Owners Identification card or I-D to documents recording each gun sale.
