Officials in the state of Illinois have scheduled a hearing on proposed regulations for industrial hemp production and processing.
That hearing is set for February 5th at 1 PM at the Illinois Department of Agriculture Center.
Registration is set for 12-noon with a requirement that those who want to make a public comment register prior to the start of the meeting.
Last summer, the proposed rules on industrial hemp were published after a law was passed and signed into effect that legalized hemp production and cultivation to those who apply and get approved for a license.
The application period will start after all of the rules are approved.
