Both the Vincennes University women’s and men’s basketball teams were winners over visiting Lincoln Trail College last night. The Vincennes University Lady Blazers started off the evening with an 83-62 romp over Lincoln Trail. Fess Hawkins led the 17-6 VU women’s team with 27 points and 17 rebounds. Ivanda Hudjakova tossed in 15 points and Cristina de la Cruz added 10 points.
The number two ranked Vincennes University men’s team dropped Lincoln Trail 88-64. VU had sixth players hit in double figures. Kevin Osawe led the way with 21 points. George Dixon had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Lony Francis Jr. And Craig porter had 12 points and Keith Clemons and Colton Sandage added 10 each.
The win improves the VU men’s team to 24-1.
Both the VU women and men’s teams are back in action on Saturday night for a basketball doubleheader at Olney Central.
