The name of the Girl Scout killed by a tree at Perry County’s Camp Koch has been released.
11-year-old Isabelle Meyer of Jasper was killed after a tree fell on her and three others at the camp.
Perry County Sheriff’s officials as well as Perry County Fire and Perry County EMS officials were called to the scene as soon as they were alerted. Indiana State Police also assisted in the incident.
According to Perry County Sheriff Alan Malone, it was raining hard in the area at the time of the accident. Malone also mentioned that several inches of rainfall had fallen in the area over the last several days.
