Play is scheduled to begin today in the 7U Southern Indiana baseball tournament at the Vincennes Cub League Complex. Five teams will be competing in the tourney with Vincennes, Mccutchanville, Newburgh, Posey County and South Gibson making up the tourney field. Pool play takes place tonight and tomorrow with championship bracket action on Sunday. The Vincennes 7’s play tonight at 6 against South Gibson and then again at 7:30 against Posey County. In pool play on Saturday, Vincennes will play at 10am against Mccutchanville and then will take on Newburgh at 1p. Championship bracket play will begin Sunday at noon. Games will be played on the red and yellow diamonds.
Also at the Vincennes Cub League complex this weekend the 12U Southern Indiana Cal Ripken tournament will take place. Four teams are in the tournament field with Vincennes, South Gibson, South Harrison and Newburgh in the competition. Pool play begins tomorrow on Joe Bilskie Sr, Field. The Vincennes 12U plays at 11am Saturday against South Harrison and then at 5p against Newburgh. The championship bracket play begins Sunday at noon. The winner of the tournament will advance to the Ohio Valley Regional tournament in crown point, Indiana starting July 18th.
Adult tickets are $5 a day or a tournament pass is $10. Student tickets for ages 6-15 are $2 per day or a student tournament pass is $5. Children age 5 and under are admitted free.
