Vincennes University will use over a million dollars in grants to extend its Early College Program in the Fort Wayne area.. The work will be funded by two awards, including a four-year, 932-thousand dollar grant The four-year grant will set up middle school clubs to prepare those students for Early College learning; it also allows high schoolers in that area to take early college classes. The V-U courses will be offered to Allen County students before school, after school, or on Saturdays.
The other grant is for 109-thosuand dollars. It builds on the University’s focus on career exploration, project based learning, paid internships, and other opportunities.
The V-U program is being sponsored in part by several northeast Indiana groups and companies.
