The South Knox Spartans fell on the road Saturday afternoon at Evansville Reitz to the host Panthers 70-48.
South Knox led 13-12 after 1 quarter. Evansville Reitz scored 40 points combined in quarters 2 and 3 while holding South Knox to just 15 scored by the Spartans, leading to a 32-23 halftime lead and a 52-28 lead after 3 for the Reitz Panthers. South Knox outscored Evansville Reitz 20-18 in the 4th, but it was not enough for the now 9-9 Spartans.
Leading the way for South Knox in scoring was Justin Fickling with 19 points. Garrett Holscher added 14 and was the only other Spartan in double figures.
The JV Contest went to Evansville Reitz 42-38. For South Knox, Dakota Candler led South Knox with 14 in the JV loss. Cody Dawson added 9.
South Knox will have a Valentines Date Friday at home with Barr-Reeve. JV will start at 6 with varsity at 7:30.
